Jamie Felton

Jamie has been in the addiction recovery field for several years. She has collaborated with families, loved ones, doctors, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other mental health and addiction professionals to help identify proper treatment and placement for people with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) as well as co-occurring and psychological disorders.

Jamie knows what it means to love someone with SUD. Her sons, Jack and Sam, have both struggled with problematic substance use. In a desperate attempt to help her son Jack, Jamie spent $150,000 in just a few years trying to navigate the detox, treatment, and sober living landscape alone. In May 2019, Jack died of a fatal overdose at the age of 20. Sam, her youngest, has been in recovery since April 23, 2022.
Jamie's sobriety date is November 7, 2006 . Guided by her own experiences as an alcoholic, and the experiences she went through with her sons, Jack and Sam, Jamie saw an opportunity to help people and their families find hope.

Sam has a remarkable story. He got sober April 23, 2022 at 19 years old. Through his life experience, Sam has gained knowledge about alcohol and addiction and how it impacts individuals of all ages and their families. After going down a dark path for several years, Sam woke up and made the choice to change his life. He has made the Deans list and honors program in college and works full-time. When Jamie speaks about Sam’s story and success in recovery, teenagers and young adults always relate.
